Christmas Gifts for the Affiliate Marketer in Your Life
Affiliate Marketing, Just For Fun Add commentsIt’s been almost a month since I updated this thing. I’ve been busy with affiliate Christmas promotions, but I’ve got some good stuff I’ll be posting over the next few weeks. Anyway, we have about 12 days until Christmas! Do you need to buy a gift for an affiliate marketer? (or anyone who works from home really). I made this list of gift ideas to help you out:
Godaddy.com Gift Card
If they’re making money online (or trying to) they need domains. Lots and lots of domains. You can get gift cards in any amount from $2-$1,000. These will come in handy for renewals too. On a related note, here’s a coupon for $3 off any .com registration or renewal: OYH3.
USB Rocket Launcher
Because what fun is working from home if they can’t assault their cat/dog/girlfriend/boyfriend/wife/husband/partner/kids with a rocket launcher?! This thing is awesome, but I wish it had more than just three shots. Anything from Thinkgeek.com is cool. They also have an affiliate program: http://www.thinkgeek.com/affiliates/
The 4-Hour Workweek: Escape 9-5, Live Anywhere, and Join the New Rich
Chances are they have this book already, but if not, get them a copy and get yourself one too. People seem to either hate this book or love it, and I personally love it. I would go as far as saying it changed my life (by fattening my wallet!).
A few bullet points:
- How to outsource your life to overseas virtual assistants for $5 per hour and do whatever you want
- How to eliminate 50% of your work in 48 hours using the principles of a forgotten Italian economist
- How to trade a long-haul career for short work bursts and frequent “mini-retirements”
- What automated cash-flow “muses” are and how to create one in 2 to 4 weeks
- How to cultivate selective ignorance-and create time-with a low-information diet
The author, Tim Ferriss, has a blog that’s an interesting read as well: Tim’s Blog
Gelaskin
Gelaskins are like cool stickers (easy to peel off though) that you put on your laptop, iPhone, iPod, etc. What makes them so cool? They are designed by actual talented artists. You can pick one out for them or give a gift certificate. I have the one titled “robot leaving the city”. They’ll get lots of attention from fellow laptop cafe wifi users, which brings me to my next suggestion…
Starbucks Gift Card
Coffee and free wifi? Sounds like a winner to me! Even if they don’t drink coffee, they have teas and juices, plus it’s a nice change of atmosphere for working.

Braun Tassimo TA1200 Single-Serve Hot-Beverage System
If your giftee (is that a word?) isn’t down with actually leaving the house for coffee, they need this thing. It brews single cups of coffee (Starbucks brand included) tea, lattes, and even hot chocolate in one minute. I drink like 3 cups of earl grey a day out of this.

Nike + iPod Sport Kit
What’s that you say? Your gift recipient doesn’t exercise? All the more reason to get them this. See, there are times when us internet entrepreneurs spend 16 hours or so in front of the computer tweaking PPC campaigns, reading marketing forums, building sites, playing World of Warcraft, etc. We don’t exercise much and Taco Bell sounds better than cooking something healthy.
The iPod + Nike sports kit makes running kinda fun. You can read more about it here, but basically what you do is: slip the wireless sensor into your shoe, plug the receiver into an iPod Nano, and start running. You’ll get all kinds of voice feedback, tracking, and music on your run, then it sends the info online where you can get your stats, challenge people to a race, and a bunch of other stuff. It got me off my ass, so I’m sure it will work for whoever you’re buying for.
So, do you have anything on this list? and What do you want for Christmas?

I saw a comic strip in another blog bout a kid asking Santa for pagerank.
I guess most bloggers would want that for Christmas. Merry Christmas!!!
